BV Council Tweaks Water Cut-Off Policy

The Buena Vista City Council tweaked the way it handles overdue water bills, as well as the cut-off and reconnect policies, during its recent regular monthly meeting.
The Council members voted to set $150 as the minimum amount in which delinquent water customers will be subject to have their service stopped. Previously, any customer who was two months past due (regardless of the amount owed) was subject to be disconnected. They also lowered the reconnect fee from $35 to $30.
