Marion County Middle-High School hosted its 10th Annual Cross Country Invitational last Saturday. The invitational has grown over the last decade to the point that it is now a Georgia High School Association sanctioned event that draws a huge crowd.
This year's event featured 414 runners from 18 schools, which ranged in size from Class A to Class 5A, as well as several private schools.
"We got a lot of compliments from the coaches, runners, and spectators," said Head Coach Michelle Harris. "They like our challenging course and they know it takes a lot of work to host an event like this. We couldn't do it without dedicated volunteers who come out to help set-up, conduct, and clean-up afterwards. I really appreciate them all."
