Marion County High ended the 2024 regular season with a 62-6 blowout win over Central Talbotton last Thursday. The Eagles (5-5 overall, 4-2 in Region 6) will now soar into State Playoffs for the first time in five years.
They'll get an opportunity to knock off the state's No. 1 team in the first round when they play Manchester on the road on Saturday, November 16 at 4:30 pm.
"They were the state runner-up last year (lost by 1 point to Bowdon in the State Championship Game) and they're ranked No. 1 now," noted Head Coach Billy Law. "It's a great challenge for us and we're looking forward to it. We've gotten a lot better through the season and I still think we can play with anybody.
