The Chattahoochee County Commission heard from a local resident who alleged mismanagement and a "toxic environment" within the local government during its recent monthly meeting.
"In Chattahoochee County a dark cloud hangs over our government," said Williams. "The mismanagement and lack of respect created a climate of fear and distrust with citizens. ... We elected each of you to help us move ahead in the community. .... It seems you're only interested with yourselves."
Williams accused members of the commission of treating the local government like a private club and using official positions for personal gain. However, with one exception - which was answered - he did not specify any personal gains by commissioners.
