The Chattahoochee County Commission has answered the lawsuit filed against it by member Damon Hoyte, who sued the local government he represents, claiming racial discrimination, harassment, breach of contract, libel and slander. In his lawsuit, he asks the court to force the county government to pay him $5 million in punitive damages.
The County has officially filed a response in court, denying all allegations and moving to have the lawsuit dismissed.
Hoyte's lawsuit also names three local citizens, who has also filed answers in court. They also deny all allegations made about them.
The case is on the Chattahoochee Superior Court docket for December 6.
