Schley County High put up a good fight against No. 7 ranked Trion High last Friday in the first round of the State Playoffs in Wildcat Stadium. The Cats trailed 31-14 at one point and were down 45-27 in the fourth quarter. They battled back but saw their comeback attempt fall five points short in a 45-40 loss.
Schley ends the season with a 6-5 overall record (5-1 in Region 6, Region Runner-Up).
"I'm proud of our kids and how they fought all season long," said Head Coach Darren Alford. "Sometimes the ball doesn't bounce your way and that was the kind of season we had. I think we lost several games that we should have won and been 8-2. I think we have a good enough team to still be playing, but it doesn't always work out that way."
