Schley Commission Holds First Opt Out Hearing

 The first of three public hearings to inform the public of the intention of the Schley County Board of Commissioners to opt out of the statewide adjusted base year ad valorem homestead exemption for Schley County was held on Thursday evening, January 30th.
 The second public hearing will be held on February 6th and the third on February 13th. An additional meeting will be held following the meeting on the 13th of February so that the Commission can vote to opt out or not to opt out of the Bill.
