As reported in last week's issue of The Journal, a Buena Vista resident was recently arrested and charged with three counts of Sexual Exploitation of Children, Electronically Furnishing Obscene Material to Minors, Computer or Electronic Pornography and Child Prevention, and Child Molestation.
During last week's City Council meeting, Buena Vista Police Chief Wendell Faulk reviewed his department's assisting on the case with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation's Child Exploitation and Computer Crimes Unit and the Marion County Sheriff's Office.
The chief also used it as an opportunity to give advice to the community - especially parents - on how to safeguard their children from sexual predators.
