When The Journal recently published a photo and basic info on the installment of an electric vehicle charging (EVC) station in Buena Vista, readers posed a variety of questions.
They included: Who paid for it? Why do we need it? Does anybody here even drive an electric vehicle?
Those questions were answered during a special Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the EVC station last Friday, as local officials celebrated a small step into the future and the benefits it is expected to provide.
One of the special guests was Natalie Brock of the University of Georgia's Carl Vinson Institute of Government. Mayor Kevin Brown explained that she worked hard to bring many groups together to bring the charging station to town.
