Sometimes it's difficult to get the public to turn out for a new community event. That wasn't the case for the First Annual Fourth of July Extravaganza hosted by the Marion County Commission on Friday, July 4.
The community didn't just turn out for the event - they seemed to love it. It inspired many positive comments and hopes that it will continue each year.
"Great event tonight celebrating America," Christopher Snipes posted on a community social media page. "I hope there's a 2nd Annual Fourth of July Celebration in Marion County."
