The Schley County High Wildcats showed flashes of solid football in their season opener, but fell to visiting Seminole County, 39-14.
"We just didn't execute, all around, on offense, defense, or special teams," said Head Coach Darren Alford. "We have a young team and it's showing."
However, he noted that the Wildcats have been working hard and they have the potential to go on to a good season.
"We didn't play the way we practiced," said Alford. "We, as coaches, have to get better at making sure out kids know what to do and that they are prepared to take what we do in practice and carry it over into the game on Friday night."
