The Schley County High School Cross Country team kicked off their season with a spectacular showing at the Furlow Fast Feet Invitational in Americus this past weekend. With runners competing across middle school and high school divisions, the Wildcats demonstrated grit, growth, and great potential for the season ahead.
The high school girls' team showed tremendous promise, finishing 5th overall out of a competitive field. Junior Emmalyn Snyder set the pace for Schley, finishing 7th place overall out of 98 runners with a time of 15:10, an impressive way to open the season. Teammates Ramsey Driver (33rd), Sydney Hollis (34th), Jentrea Skipper (45th), and Karma Sowell (57th) rounded out the scoring five, giving the Wildcats their strong top-five team finish.
