Marion Routs Rutland to Improve to 10-3

Lady Eagles Now Ranked No 5 in State
The Marion County High varsity softball team improved to 10-3 by routing Rutland High 15-2 in 5 innings.
After a slow start and a scoreless game, the Lady Eagles got on the board in the top of the third inning after Haleigh Frazier doubled down the left field line, Taner Tyler singled to right field, Addie Underwood walked, and Heather Fiscus grounded out, each scoring a run.
The next inning was even bigger for Marion, as they scored 7 runs to take a huge 11-0 lead. Kinsley Barrow singled in a run, Tyler drew a walk to score a run, Lindsay Bagley singled to drive in a run, Fiscus doubled in a pair of runs, and Sage Davis walked in a run.
