Locals Help in Dramatic Life or Death Rescue

 A Marion County resident and local coach helped save a man's life after his car got struck on train tracks after an accident on Tuesday, September 9.
 Marion County High School Head Girls Basketball Coach Tyler Routon and Marion County resident Bobby Gray came upon a horrifying scene, as a vehicle was stuck on the train tracks on Highway 80 near Pratt & Whitney in nearby Muscogee County. A train was heading toward the vehicle and efforts to alert the conductor failed.
 Routon and Gray helped Sgt. Earl Osborn of Muscogee County Sheriff's Office, who was off duty but also noticed the emergency, to lift the drive out of the car and eventually to safety, with a few falls and slips along the way.
