Chattahoochee County High spoiled Marion County High's Homecoming Game, winning 34-19 in Eagle Stadium last Friday night.
The Eagles stayed close in the first half, trailing 12-22, but the Panthers scored once in the third quarter and again in the fourth to pull away with a decisive victory,
"Our guys were very excited to play in this region rivalry game," said Chattco Head Coach Mike Nash. "They've also worked really hard. A few weeks prior to the game we were making a lot of mental mistakes. We have corrected a lot of that, even though we still need to cut back on mistakes. We also played much better on special teams. ... Their effort is what I'm most proud of."
