Chattco Mourns Death of Head Football Coach

The Chattco Family is mourning the loss of Head Football Coach Mike Nash, who died Friday, October 3 in Atlanta after an emergency surgery. He had been courageously battling liver failure for the past month.
A memorial service will be held in Panther Stadium this Wednesday, October 8 at 6 pm.
Early in the season, in a phone interview while in the hospital, he requested that the seriousness of his health challenge be kept private for a while because he wanted to be the one to decide exactly how to inform his players. As he fought for his life, his team remained on his mind and in his heart. He kept coaching, even when he had to opt for the stadium press box above the sideline he hoped to return to.
