The Tazewell Volunteer Fire Department recently congratulated the newest Marion County Volunteer Suppression firefighters - Amanda Macon, Jeffrey Macon, and Collin Minard.
These three individuals have just completed a rigorous six-month training program that was mentally, emotionally, and physically challenging. This program moved them from support firefighters to suppression firefighters, which means they are now qualified to fight structure fires.
Their training included live fire burns for above grade (upper story), at-grade (ground floor), and below grade (basement) fire attack, as well as fighting vehicle fires, and wildland fires. Please help us in...
