Schley Pulls Away from Marion in Second Half

 Marion County's plucky young squad gave the visiting Schley County High Wildcats a spirited rivalry fight on the gridiron last Friday night in Eagle Stadium. Schley led by only one score (21-14) at halftime, but the more experienced visitors pulled away in the second half to win by a final score of 42-14.
 "I was proud of our guys for being resilient," said SCHS Coach Darren Alford. "Marion probably played their best game of the year and it seemed like everything they touched turned to gold in the first half. We have to give them a lot of credit. But our kids responded in the second half and we were able to take control of the game.
 Marion's coach was very pleased with the performance of his Eagles.
