The Schley County High Wildcats scored a big 55-33 win over the visiting Lanier County Bulldogs last Friday in the first round of the State Playoffs.
The region champion Wildcats will host Jenkins County in the second round this Friday, November 21.
Schley jumped out to a 14-0 lead early on and led the rest of the way. Lanier closed the gap to only two points, 28-26, in the third quarter but the Wildcats quickly rebuilt their lead and won by 22 points.
"Our offensive and defensive lines really took over midway through the third quarter," said Head Coach Darren Alford. "I'm really proud of the way our guys responded to adversity and to the challenge."
