The Schley County High Wildcats wrapped up the 2025 season in front of a large crowd in Wildcat Stadium last Friday. They were disappointed to fall to the visiting Jenkins County War Eagles but the Cats can feel good about another excellent season. They won the Region 6 Championship and advanced to the "Sweet 16" (quarterfinals) of the Class A, Division II State Playoffs.
"I feel really, really good about our season," said Head Coach Darren Alford. "Nobody really expected much of us. We started with a couple of losses to some really good teams and it looked like it could be a long year. But our kids kept believing in what we were trying to do and they kept getting better.
