  The City of Buena Vista is establishing a computer lab in the Josh Gibson Center, thanks to assistance from Empower Southwest Georgia, which is a nonprofit organization headquartered in Cuthbert.
 The City Council discussed Empower's plan to donate a significant amount of items for the lab during its recent monthly meeting.
 Mayor Kevin Brown, who is part of the group's Mayor Advisory Network, said the goal is to help overcome the "digital divide" in rural, Southwest Georgia. He said the organization plans to donate eight desktop computers for the computer lab.
