E-911 Center Deals with Sumter County Lawsuit
The Schley County Commission looked to shore up its financial security, got an update on a lawsuit involving the Middle Flint E-911 Center, and discussed various other items during its recent monthly meeting.
 The commissioners approved a No Petty Cash Policy to make sure there is a paper trail for all purchases. They also reviewed the county's other purchasing policies, saying they "want to make sure we're not vulnerable to anything like what happened with the city." That was a reference to the recent arrest of Ellaville City Manager Lynn McChargue, who is charged with 29 counts of theft by taking (estimated amount of $429,949, or more).
