Longtime Marion County resident Abb Preston was recently named the Georgia EMS Director of the Year in a special ceremony hosted by the Georgia Emergency Medical Services Association.
Preston has decades of experience in the emergency medical field. He got his start working in Columbus and after five years worked for Marion County and Talbot County for around 15 years.
He joined Taylor County EMS in 2019 and has served as their EMS Director since 2021.
Preston says that while he's not comfortable "tooting his own horn", he is proud of the progress they've made and the quality of service they provide.
