Stewart High Grad and a Rising Senior Found Dead
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) and the Webster County Sheriff's Office are investigating the deaths of 19-year-old Zekevian James of Richland and 17-year-old Jo'Quavious Jones of Lumpkin in an apparent double homicide.
James was a 2025 graduate of Stewart County High School, while Jones was a rising senior.
Preliminary information indicates that on Wednesday, June 30, a family member of one of the victims contacted the Webster County Sheriff's Office to report a missing person. During a search for the missing person, the Sheriff's Office discovered James and Jones deceased in the area of Twin Towers Road and Johnson Road in Webster County.
