No mobile homes - except in mobile home parks - may be brought into Chattahoochee County until January 3, 2027, unless local officials work out their concerns with the county's zoning ordinance before then.
During its recent monthly meeting, the Commission of the Unified Government of Cusseta-Chattahoochee County passed a moratorium on additional mobile homes coming into the county, with the exception of areas zoned for mobile home parks.
Commissioners have been discussing the need to revamp zoning regulations for quite a while now and this is part of that process. Currently, in many situations, a Conditional Use Permit (CUP) must be applied for and approved in order to place a mobile home in the county.
