The morning sun rose over Cusseta last Saturday, casting a warm, golden glow across the Roscoe Robinson Recreation Center. Last Saturday marked a milestone for the community: the sixth annual Back to School Bash hosted by Latavia's Closet, and it brought out the largest turnout in the event's history, drawing 314 participants - children and adults alike - ready to kick off the new school year together.
Named in loving memory of Latavia Moore, who passed away in 2017 at the age of 17 after a courageous battle with metachromatic leukodystrophy, the nonprofit keeps her vibrant spirit alive.
