Chattahoochee County High School in the small town of Cusseta is unique in that the student body, as well as the faculty, is made up of an interested mixture of people. In the classroom and on the field, the Panthers from families with deep local roots stand shoulder to shoulder with children of military families stationed at nearby Fort Benning.
They make it work with the mantra "One Heartbeat".
Perhaps the Panthers' ability to come together and treat each other like family also helps them learn the importance of treating others well. That spirit was celebrated last when the school was presented the Georgia High School Association (GHSA) Cooperative Spirit Sportsmanship Award for the previous school year, 2025-2026.
