Marion County's Volunteer Fire Departments held a special Graduation Ceremony on September 19 to celebrate five graduates who successfully completed their training to become volunteer firefighters.
Claude Ford, Mark Kurz, Brad Powell, Courtney Powell, and Lyza Raulston spent seven months completing 40 classes over 28 weeknights, and 12 Saturdays of training. Throughout this process, the recruits learned the many responsibilities and skills required to become a firefighter.
